Gotta be true. Why am I not surprised Texas has an avg IQ of 92 and voted for Bush while New York has an avg IQ of 109 and voted for Kerry

Yeah. IF (read correctly: IF) this is true, then I'm kinda surprised.
Kerryiers are between 113 and 99, and Bushers between 100 and 85, quite a difference.

I am not about to get into the politics of this, but to be fair, not everyone in those states voted for those particular candidates. The majority did, so I understand why it's being argued, but the intelligence factor is more of an insult to every person in the state mentioned rather than those that voted for the person named.

Every Texan contributed to that statistic, so I guess y'all can just say we's all purty stupid, not just the Bush supporters! Heehaw! :rolleyes:

I don't necessarily believe this and the correlations that have been drawn. I think that it comes down to the fact that President Bush campaigned on a set of ideals that agreed with the more conservative states, while Mr. Kerry's were more appealing to the liberal states.

Maybe the folks with the lower IQ figured that they needed a smart President to lead them, while the people with the higher IQ are a bunch of know-it-alls and didn't want someone as President who is smarter than them. Whaddaya think? :p

I hope people don't think I was being serious in my last post. It was a joke. I realize that not every single person in a particular state voted for Bush or Kerry (I voted in Texas but voted for Kerry).

I don't like the correlations with the "college graduates who they voted for". I was in class the night of the 2004 election, my professor came in and LECTURED us for the entire class on why Kerry is the better choice and how we were to all go out and vote for Kerry because 250 votes can easily make the difference for the state.

I honestly wonder how many kids in that class actually went out and voted for Kerry just to try and get on the professors good side. The thursday after that (our next class) I saw 3 kids go up and say how they voted for him because the professor said to, obviously no one except them know if they actually did or not but it was still very disgusting to me.
