My God. I agree that it's a hard choice to make if there are still some that you have not seen yet. The Trevi fountain, huh? It's funny you say that because next year we are planning on going to Italy and my daughter says that no matter what we do in Italy, she is not leaving until we see the Trevi fountain. She did a report for school on it last year and also read some books about it, and ever since then she has such a desire to visit it in person. Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

Maybe I should clarify. The ones I have seen (in person) on my list are: 1., 2., 7., 11., 12., 17., 19., 23. and 25.
The ones that would not take much effort for me to go and see would be: 8., 13., 14., 20 and 22.

Hmmmm.... Really tough question. I agree that I would only feel comfortable naming ones that I've already seen.

There are too many to name, especially my hometown Esfahan has dozens of dazzling landmarks, but I settle only for one, and a little farther this time. Persepolis The site of Persepolis, located near today's Shiraz is roughly 31 acres and consists of palaces, tombs, terraces, gates (most notably the Gate of all Nations) and gathering halls. It dates back to 500 BC (over 2500 years old). These are a few pictures of this huge landmark of what has survived aging and numerous attacks, most notably that of Alexander, who set some of its palaces on fire. The most important thing about this landmark compared to those of this era is that the builders were paid and it is not the result of unpaid labor of slaves. This is the place that old wealthy Persian Empire received their guests or celebrated the New Year's festivals at the beginning of each spring. ![](http://www.bamjam.net/Iran/images/Perse04.jpg)

On a recent trip to California, I was lucky enough to have flown over the Grand Canyon at sunset. I was awestruck. Pictures just don't do it justice. Niagara Falls is another amazing one. I was with my aunt and uncle (who were visiting relatives in Rochester), and we took a trip to Buffalo to see the falls. Well, my uncle took a wrong turn, and we ended up at the Canadian border. We couldn't turn around, so we drove into Canada, and I got to see the falls from the Canadian side. We didn't stay long because my cousin was wigging out (she had left her ID and SS card at home). But the half hour we were there, I was mesmerized. It was winter, so a light snow had fallen, and there were large pieces of ice floating around in the water. Another site where pictures just don't do it justice.

Yep, an other breathtaking site, DC. I actually found the skyline of New York city fantastic, the statue of Liberty also. I came across alot of fascinating landmarks during my tour of America/Canada.
