as there are lots of muders in the whole trilogy,which one stands out the most,they are all different.

my fav murder is when moe green gets shot in the eye, that one is great.

will be interesting to see what people think.

I have two favorites :

Vincents Hit on Joe Zasza. Love when he shoots him and the way he says "ZASZA!"


Also love Clemenza's hit on Tattaglia, the way that he kicks open the door and rips the gun out of the package.

I've gotta say I have TWO favorites, and both are carried out by young Vito in GFII.

First when he shoots Fanucci; a brilliantly planned and perfectly executed hit - all by ONE man! He let NO ONE else in on what he was going to do!!!!

Second is the revenge killing on Don Ciccio in Italy. Love the way he inserts and slides that knife, then gives the body that disgusted shove before walking away.

I completely agree with that one. It was perfectly and swiftly executed with good planning. It also looked nice onscreen. smile

I love Cuneo's face when he realizes why he's stuck in the revolving door, and then also when Barzini gets shot... his trying to run away, then falling and rolling down the stairs a few times.

In GF II, I love the Fanucci hit, and slicing up Don Ciccio, too. Both very intense and well-acted scenes.

That wasn't Tattaglia that Clemenza killed. It was Don Stracci he killed in the elevator. And it was Rocco who kicks open the door and shoota Tattaglia.

Actually, I was thinking about this a bit more. Even though it wasn't technically "murder," how about the "hit" on Khartoum? It was vicious, to the point, and made Jack Woltz change his attitude toward Johnny...

GF I - When Al Neri kills Barzini - dressed as a cop, then he drops down and blasts the arrogant pr*ck from the bottom of the steps.

GF II - When Vito kills Don Cicce (sp?) as revenge for the murder of his family.

GFIII - Vincent's killing of Joey Zasa, and also Vincent's monologue at the end as the series of hits take place..."Tonight the Corleone family settles it's debts".

...there's people who would pay a lot of money for that information. But then your daughter would lose a father..instead of gaining a husband.

My favorite hit in the godfather is Fannuci getting killed. It has a lot of meaning, because it is the start of vito's rise to power. Plus it was very well thought out the way vito stalked him from the rooftops
