So let's get this clear... the US government nor any other functionary of the state actually banned or censored this production... it was a decision taken by "the head of the highly regarded New York Theatre Workshop".
I guess this is one instance where I can't throw "land of the free, eh?" ... unless there was some surreptitious state pressure applied....

Double-J, I'm sure there are many plays about those tragedies and if you search for a couple you'll find many. Although, Corrie being an American citizen, a young woman, a peace activist and just as innocent as those children has every right to be represented in a play and the play should not be censored in any way either by a government or private organization. She was taken out, with intent by Israeli terrorists err...armed forces personnel, and nothing was done about it. Why? ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/confused.gif) :rolleyes:
