Rocket scientists can learn a lot from failures. Our first missiles in the '50's crashed and burned all the time, and it was a huge concern that the USSR would have a leg up on us. If they can learn from their mistakes, then they can do better the next time. But for now I dont think the N Koreans are doing anything more than trying to score some propoganda points and get some world status. As for North Koreasns reading this thread, I don't think their steam powered computers are all that fast.
