SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP)--Republican Sen. John McCain on Tuesday accused former President Bill Clinton, the husband of his potential 2008 White House rival, of failing to act in the 1990s to stop North Korea from developing nuclear weapons.
"I would remind Senator (Hillary) Clinton and other Democrats critical of the Bush administration's policies that the framework agreement her husband's administration negotiated was a failure,"

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.
I think its more fair to say that both administrations failed. The North Koreans went back on their word and betrayed that grain-for-nuclear exchange deal from the 1990s, and then basically told America to go fuck itself, and its six-party talks.
Now a major priority goal of the Bush administration, to not allow Rogue Nations to obtain WMDs, has been violated, and what will happen? Unless we successfully convince the Chinese and Russians to go full-force diplomatically in terms of sanctions against North Korea, or if they have a change of heart(doubtful), then Kim Jung Ill will become a permanent nuclear power.

I know a lot of people like John McCain, and I will always respect him for what he went through in Vietnam and what he made of himself, but as a politician I do not like him. He has played both ends against the middle, criticizing both parties to gain support for the others. Maybe that is "good politics" but I think it just shows that he doesn't have any set ideas. This could potentially get him respect of both parties, or lose support from people from both parties, I don't know, but I for one just don't like what he's doing.
I don't like John McCain at all. He is nothing but an appeaser, talks out of both sides of his mouth and states whatever is convenient for the time being. True as his comment re Clinton & N. Korea might be...it is at this point little more than grandstanding.
He would be the worst possible candidate the Republicans could nominate in 2008. I hope to GOD it doesn't come to that.
Newt Gingrich for President.
