Scooby Doo??? Now that's funny..haha.

Sabrina the teenage witch! Yeah, that's some scary stuff there. It's not the monster's, it's the acting.

The original POTO is on several times, but all at times I'd either be at work, or have not desire to be up at 4:30 AM on a Saturday. (I know, with some people here that's just bed time).

We all float down here, Gina!! I have an abnormal fear of clowns as it is, so It put me totally over the edge.

So many of these movies I've seen dozens of times, and yet I can't resist watching a couple of my favorites this time of year. A few of my favorites: Poltergeist, Lost Boys (I really like this movie for some strange reason), The Fly, Misery, and the all time scariest (IMHO) The Exorcist.

I don't mind Elm Street or Halloween (the first ones especially), and I think Chucky is kind of creepy...humorous, but still creepy.

Thanks, Gina.

I always look forward to watching a lot of these movies with my kids. I'll copy your list, stick it on the refrigerator and plan accordingly.

It can't be Halloween without a healthy dose of Michael Myers.

Oh yes, "IT" is one of my favorite Stephen King stories. along with Misery, and Pet Cemetery, (which I didn't see on the list.)

My favorites from that list:

Frankenstein
Bride Of Frankenstein
The Wolf Man
Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man
House Of Frankenstein
Son Of Frankenstein
Dracula
House Of Dracula
Creature From From The Black Lagoon
The Fly (1958)
The Invisible Man
The Lost Boys
Them
Halloween
Halloween II

Not for nothing, but what is AMC thinking including movies like Godzilla's Revenge and Rodan in a Monster fest? As Horror Movies?

How about showing movies like

The Last Man On Earth : Dr. Robert Morgan (Vincent Price) is the only survivor of a devastating world-wide plague due to a mysterious immunity he acquired to the bacterium while working in Central America years ago. He is all alone now...or so it seems. As night falls, plague victims begin to leave their graves, part of a hellish undead army that''s thirsting for blood...his!

Dracula (1979 with Frank Langella)

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (Original)

Psycho (Original)

Godzilla's Revenge and Rodan?

Creature from the Black Lagoon is a great one. Another horror movie (low budget) that I enjoy is "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things." It is about teenagers looking to make a film on a small island outside an urban area, who inadvertently raise the dead, who are buried there.
Does anyone remember the movie "Tarantula" about the 100 foot tall spider.

Stop trying to scare me!!!

I've actually seen It before, but it's been a while, so I'm excited about seeing it again. I really wish I'd kept reading the book...I was working on it last winter and somehow allowed myself to take a "break" - if I go back now, I won't remember a thing.

Misery, however, I've yet to see - I only know it by the book.

I remember 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead' Things very well.

Tarantula. Was that the one where the scientist injects a tarantula with some kind of growth formula, and the tarantula escapes from the lab and grows bigger and bigger?

I think It scared me more than any other book I've ever read. Maybe it is my fear of clowns (which my kids find hilarious, by the way), or maybe because the characters were children, but that one REALLY got me.

Gina, How could you not have finished that book?? You remind me of Mr. Babe. I loaned him The Stand when he had to fly to Europe on business. He got about 2/3 of the way through, landed back in NY, and never finished it. I asked him how he could've done that, considering the book was about a plague that destroys almost all of the people on the planet, and becomes a battle of good v. evil - didn't he want to know who wins??

"One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires."

That may be one of the best lines in the movie. I love how non chalantly the grandfather says that.

Ha ha!!! I was gonna post that line but didn't know how many would get it. It is great line, from what we thought was the "clueless" grandpa!!

SB, I don't know why I never finished it. I would read it everyday in my computer class after I was done with my work, but the people I sat by always wanted to talk, so I allowed that to distract me.

If I ever finish this silly Tess book (and all the other required reading that is piling up), I'll go back to it.

I have a present for you... :p (I'm sorry! haha)

In honor of Halloween, see if you know what horror flick these lines come from:

"You're telling me I should send my daughter to a witch doctor?"

And, one of my favorites:

"Everyone goes a little mad sometimes."

And another great one (it's so easy)

"Heeeere's Johnny"

That was just mean, Gina!! My girls would tease me to no end about my fear of clowns. There was a shoe store near us and they had a clown outside the store to lure customers in. Whenever we drove past it, the girls would nudge each other, and even whisper to their friends, "My mom's afraid of clowns," and this would just crack them up. My brother even went as far as buying me a Bozo Pez dispenser. Why couldn't I have a normal phobia??

When we forget to bring in the cats' food bowls from outside, it's guaranteed that at least one roach will be crawling around nearby once night falls. I'll actually bring a flashlight just to walk out, and what I really hate is when one of them starts skittering toward ME! Aghhhh....

Of all the lists of scary movies I'm suprised that no one posted " The Omen".

The new version was just released on DVD Oct. 17th. Just bought it today and plan on watching it this weekend.

You know whats funny? Over $220+ million for a remake that I didn't give a flying monkeyfuck about, but I quite enjoyed the 1933 classic original, with what, a tiny miniature doll with limited joint movements.

Don Cardi cool

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

That's the one. I haven't seen it in about 30 years, but I can still envision that shadowy spider approaching the town.

Just wanted to remind everyone that Monsterfest started today.

The Fly is creeping me out...!

Halloween is on tonight, and it repeats with the Enhanced Version. This is where they post the trivia throughout the movie, regarding whatever scene happens to be on, or about the movie itself. It might be annoying for those just wanting to watch the movie - which is why I think it's good they're playing both versions - but I enjoy the interesting information it gives.

"Help me.... help me" (said in a high squeeky voice).

EDIT: Never mind.... I was quoting Vincent Price (from the original film). I see its the remake that was on.
