I'd recommend reading "The Godfather" first. You'll find this question being moved to the " Mario Puzo Novels" forum. You might look around there to get some ideas about what other members thought about the other books by Puzo. I expect you'll get some answers here, too. Welcome to the boards.

[/b][/quote]I meant i bought all the books he has written, the complete set in other words. There is no box set, but maybe there should be. Im thinking of reading The Godfather first obviously, followed by The Sicilian (sequel to godfather) and then decide from there.

"The Sicilian" is a decent story but its not a sequel to "The Godfather". It has three of the characters from "The Godfather" but only in MINOR roles with small parts. The so-called sequel was called "The Godfather Returns" by Mark Winegardner. Its been very poorly received here on these boards. IMO, if you don't read it you won't miss anything. Stick with Puzo's stories.
