Al Pacino - Scent of a Woman, Donnie Brasco and Scarface. Robert DeNiro - The Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver and Cape Fear (not the best movie around, but I thought he was excellent in it). Marlon Brando - A Streetcar Named Desire, On the the Waterfront and The Wild One. Francis Ford Coppola - Bram Stoker's Dracula (I didn't much like it the first time I saw it but it's kinda grown on me), The Rainmaker and Apocalypse Now.

What does anyone think of DeNiro's role in "15 Minutes"? Who can forget "Once Upon a Time in America"? or "The Mission"?
Worst DeNiro performance? "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle"

Brando: Streetcar, The Wild One DiNeri: Raging Bull, Mean Streets, True Confessions Pacino: Dog Day Afternoon, Scent of a Woman Coppola: Apocalypse Now (and Redux) You didn't ask, but I'd add Duvall for "True Confessions" and "Stalin," though he's such a great and versatile actor that it's hard to pick a "best."

June twenty-ninth. I gotta get in shape now. Too much sitting is ruining my body. Too much abuse is going on for too long. From now on there will be 50 pushups each morning, 50 pullups. There will be no more pills, no more bad food, no more destroyers of my body. From now on will be total organization.

Marlon Brando: On the Waterfront (hands down, the more realistic performance on film).
Al Pacino: Donnie Brasco (again, realism).
Robert DeNiro: Raging Bull.
Robert Duvall: The Apostle.
FF Coppola: The Conversation (brilliant film).
