Great job. I am not that sure that Taxi Driver is a "gangster film." Then again, I could be wrong. I would probably just leave it up there if I were you, it had to do with crime, and was a very good movie.

Although they aren't classics, I think the original "The Getaway" and "Payback", with Mel Gibson, are good movies too.

Did anyone see the movie "Excellent Cadavers" (1999) for Chazz Palminteri? I heard it was good but IMDB.com rating is around 5.9/10.

Anyway, it is supposed to be a Mafia movie.

Well, if they don't make another GF, we are sure due for another "good" gangster flick. It seems they are few and far between....at least good ones are. We should have a good gangster/mafia flick every ten years or so.....cleans out any "bad blood." (probably not an exact quote, but you get my drift!!!)

I recently saw a movie called "Things Change" with Joe Mantegna and Don Ameche that has Ameche impersonating a mob boss. It's really a comedy, but based on mob life.

Excellent Cadavers with Palminteri was a movie which I saw by the name of Falcone, based upon the real story of judge Falcone in Sicily in the 80's, who got killed.

By the way, you can hardly call such films as A Simple Plan and Out of Sight real gangster movies, or Se7en. Neither is Memento, which is a brilliant film, but it's more like a mystery.
If Se7en is accounted for, then you can mention all other Morgan Freeman-detective-like-thrillers and all Hannibal movies and all... you know what I mean.

You might also want to consider two similar movies about John Gotti: Witness to the mob (1998) with Tom Sizemore as John Gotti, Richard Bright and Abe Vigoda, a Robert De Niro production for TV about a 'buttonman' of Gotti (Nick Turturro), and "GOTTI" with Armand Assante as John Gotti.

Route 66 was a movie about 80% similar to A Simple Plan (same 'plan').

Memento was a freakin AWESOME movie! Another AWESOME movie, that no one has probably heard of, is Boondock Saints. It's REALLY GOOD and it's got Willem Dafoe in it. The story is about these 2 Irish guys who go around killing "gangsters" and then there's a moral issue involved...they're making the streets safe, but they're also killing. So it's kinda like, which 1 do you favor? I HIGHLY recommend seeing it! It's hilirious!!

What about the movie "Bugsy Malone" (Starring young Scott Baio and young Bridget Fonda)?! Heehee, that was a cute movie.

"Hate" is kinda like a crime film....i guess. Very good movie. "Bella Mafia" is another, not all that good and i think it was one of those 'made for tv' movies. Also, "The Last Don I & II".

What about The Freshman? It definitely has a mafia theme. I mean, you've got the most famous mafia Don (with a different name, of course) in that movie. If that's not a mafia flick, then what is?

Oh, i just remembered another mob film. Oscar, the one with Sylvester Stallone. I know it's a comedy, but it has a mafia theme.
