I always felt this film deserved a post of it's own...
I assume most everyone here has seen it, but if you haven't, you must. Brando playing comedy, reprising his role as Don Corleone...Take-offs on scenes from GF (like Brando buying the fruit; the costume is almost the same)...the film professor (Bentley from the TV show The Jeffersons) silently mouthing the words while showing his class the scene with Michael and Senator Geary from GF 2...Bruno Kirby (young Clemenza)...and a cameo at the end from Gianni Russo (Carlo).
How they got Brando to appear in what's really a simple light comedy, I'll never know (money, I guess). But without him, there's no picture.
Anyway, see it if you haven't already

I have never seen it. I don't usually see comedys, but I didn't realize Brando reprises his role as Vito even though I knew he played the same type character tho. Wasn't Matthew Broderick in it as well? I'll have to check it out! TIS

I saw this film with my wife and daughter in a movie house in Burlington, VT, during a college visits trip for daughter. The movie house was full. The film shows two clips from GFII (Michael and Sen. Geary--"We're both part of the same hypocrisy, Senator"; and Michael and Fredo at the New Year's party in Havana--"I know it was you, Fredo"). In both cases, I couldn't restrain myself: as the scenes played, I spoke out the dialog just before the lines were said by the actors. A bunch of people around me glared at me. My poor daughter slid under her seat in embarrassment...
