In which movie do you think De Niro gave a better performance? Everyone says Raging Bull was De Niro's best performance, and I always agreed... Until I saw Taxi Driver. As it says in the trailer, "You'll never see a more chilling performance." This is so true. His character is so pitiful, and knows very little about many things. Anyways, yeah, which do you think is his better performance? I went with Taxi Driver.
Oh, and I'm not asking about the better MOVIE, I'm asking which you think De Niro played his part better in, what his better performance was.

I had to struggle with this one. I saw Taxi Driver first, so that performance has stuck with we a little more then Raging Bull. But his Jake La Motta is so incredible. I'm probably gonna regret it but I went with Taxi Driver, for the exact reason you mentioned, how pitiful he was. That one scene where he is trying to reach out to Wizard, "I got bad thoughts in my head." , is terrifying and pitiful at the same time. Truly amazing

I know it was out on DVD. I've seen it at Blockbuster but I think the stopped releasing it. Becuase I wanted to buy it and I looked everywhere and the only place I could find it was on ebay for $70.

Raging Bull' s cover has Robert Deniro's face all sweaty on it and says Raging Bull in red writing[/b][/quote]Then you are lucky because Raging Bull is def. out of print, they may have pulled it because they want to release a better cut, more footage, interviews etc.

Raging bull is out of print on all formats.
I feel sorry for you yanks first you get a crappy version of Scarface which is now OOP, we in England have got the excellent anamorphic version . Now you have got a crappy version of Raging Bull, we have got 20th Anniversery Special 2 Disc Version. I'm not trying to rub salt in wounds here.
