Yeah, Heat is kinda border line. I can think of several other movies that are too, but still good films.
As far as best mafia movie. That's really tough. Each film is a different story, so I guess it's what you're in the mood for watching.
I voted Godfather 2, just because I love Robert Deniro's role as Young Vito. Then again, I really like his role as Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas. Ahhh decisions, decisions!

Well duh! The Godfather. Scarface ran a pretty close second.

Goodfellas is great up until after Mr.Devito gets whacked. Then its downhill. I kinda wished they would've ended it there, haha. I know it wouldn't do good for continuity, though.

Well, Mr.Lombardi, I just don't find it very interesting. It doesn't deal with the mafia anymore at that point. I think that is the core of the film. And I put "Mr.Devito" just in case by chance somebody would read the post and not have seen the film. Although I'm pretty sure everyone here has seen it.

You sure do love to call me Mr. Lombardi. Is that out of respect or spite? :p Well, I don't think it HAS to deal with the mafia to be a good film, although I'm not implying you said this. I'm just saying -- myself. Tommy is my favorite character, as Pesci is my favorite actor... And sure, BEFORE that it's better... But, doesn't mean after it, it isn't interesting. I thought the end drug parts were very interesting. Just my two cents.

The Godfather I and II are definately my favorites. I also really enjoyed Once Upon a Time in America. I like how it shows how they started out as young kids and progresses.

- Empire
- Plan 9 From Outer Space
I don't think Scarface is down there with THOSE, but it's definately over-rated.

You said it was bloody awful, bud. Then you said it's not that bad. Make up your mind! :p I do see people praising it here all the time, and it's quite stupid. It's not THAT great, but it ain't that bad either. What I HATE are the stupid kids today who love it, but never even seen it -- and just SAY they like it 'cause the rappers they like like it. They've never even seen it. Morons. And the Star Wars movies are one of the all times greats, man.
