as i was getting ready to leave my local video store about to rent "carlitos way", i was looking on the shelves and saw this dvd called "wannabes" with whats his face (from analyze this, de'niros right hand man, the fat dude with the messed up face), i forgot his name...anyways its got him on the cover and NY scenery or whatever, so i check it out and it looks appealing so i rent it. Just so happens i like this movie more then carlitos way, and another funny thing is the main characters start their own bookmaking racket and decide they wanna be bookies before becoming affiliated with the local mob. (funny cus my past thread has been all about bookmaking and rackets, heh). Anyways, has anybody seen this and if so what did you think of it? I've never even heard of the movie and i thought it was great.

guess nobodies seen it heard of it, or they just hated it lol. I looked up alot of reviews for the movie and all were BAD. The film got bashed by critics but I dont care! I stand by my opinions! lol....maybe its just because i can relate to the characters in different ways (nothing to do with wanting to get involved with criminal activity) but more then the people who write the reviews at least.

It was released in 2002 according to some website. Im sure its true because there was a Sopranos referance. It stars

I just saw this movie and thought it was okay. The acting wasn't very good, but the story was good. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Sounds like a funny premise for a movie, I havent seen a lot of "mafia/comedy" movies except for "Mafia!" which I liked. I'm planning on renting this on my next trip to the video store.
