There are many murders in the movie. Tell me which one is your favourite.

You know, putting aside how many times I've seen these movies, I forgot just how many "good" murders there were. I still remember my "first" impressions; the shock of the horse's head in Woltz bed The tension and buildup before Michael kills Sollozo/McCluskey; Sonny's murder on the causeway was so gruesome for it's time. Yet, I went with Fanucci's murder. I just liked the way Vito pulled it off, calmly and quietly, with the festival music in the background as he disposes of the gun. Yet, I agree with SC on Don Cicci's murder too. So quick and so cold. As a part of the audience viewing, you can't help but feel no sympathy for Cicci, and as a matter of fact say, "good" to yourself. Such a vicious way to kill someone. TIS

Favorite Murder - The way the band murdered Frankie's request for the Tarantella (Pop Goes the Weasel ). Seriously folks, "favorite" murder? Kind of a sadistic choice of words. The entire scene in Louis Restaurant is great (watched it last night again); the sounds, the set up, the tension. But for revenge - Don Cicci. Perfect.

I also voted for Don Ciccio ("e quest'e pe' te' in good Sicilian dialect). It was the most primally motivated, as Vito was avenging the death of his parents and his brother.
Sanitashun? Ah tole joo to tell dem joo was in a sanatorium. Not sanitashun.

I also go for the killing of Don Ciccio, just for the reasons which are already mentioned.
