I bought the once upon a time in america special edition DVD, a while ago, but now the new box set has come out. Have they discontinued the produciton of the original special edition? does that mean, that my ones value is going up???

The "special edition" is just really the standard edition, whereas the box set is actually limited in print, which means that it will be worth a lot more than the "special edition" in 10 years time.
