You could say it is related to gangsters, yes. The whole movie is a chain of different stories. You will see hitmen John Travolta and Sam Jackson in action, and later you'll see Travolta going out with his boss's (Ving Rhames') wife. Following that, you'll follow the story of boxer Butch (Bruce Willis) who is being chased by the mob, and the most unlikely of things gets in his way: a watch. Finally the film will end with yet another story: the aftermath of the first one.
I guess that could some it up a little bit. Sorry if you find some small spoilers in there though. Hope you enjoy the movie, man, it's one of my favorites.

I didnt really like Pulp Fiction compared to some other movies. I enjoyed The Usual Suspects and Resivoir Dogs. I just wasnt too impressed with Pulp Fiction.
Jerry: Ah, you're crazy. Cosmo Kramer: Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?

I just didn't like the way that Butch and Marsellus solve their differences. it was a death-fight and then they made a deal in 2 seconds. if you hate someone and want to kill him, but a few moments later he saves you from a terrible rape (and perhaps slaughter afterwards), would you still say 'okay now I'll kill you'?? they did not make a deal in 2 seconds, they made a deal in the whole sticking-up for each other against the slaughterers, without saying so of course

have you already realized how amazing Pulp Fiction is? I bet you did, but I'm talking a specific point of the film: the connection between the first and the last sequences, both in the Grill coffe shop.
when the end sequence is on action, I always asked myself:
1 - How did Pumpkin let Jules get him so easily after holding a gun to his head?
2 - Why was Honey-Bunnie so nervous after Jules get Pumpkin?
3 - Why didn't one of them just shoot Jules, since they were professional robbers?
when I watched this film for the second time I found the answer:
first of all, Jules was a fucking smart hitmen so he was able to get the two robbers, but he was absolutely in a defensive position in first place, so I think the right answers is the conversation that Pumpkin and Honey-Bunnie have in the first scene of the film, which I didn't connected correctly with the last one the first time I watched. Pumpkin talks about a change in the kind of robbery they make, and they let clear in the conversation that they never killed anyone and that they absolutely don't wanna do that. after all, they just use guns to scare everyone around, that's why they don't handle them as nice as Jules and that's why they don't have the balls to shoot him and go away.
maybe this is kinda obvious but I just realized how it perfectly fix the second time I watched

Tarantino is awesome. I have always wondered what was in the Briefcase, but Tarantino didn't even know, he just decided to leave it up to the viewer. I went in to it expecting a mob story, but it wasn't, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Favorite quote

I have to correct myself, when I said cherries in the quote, it is supposed to be 'sugar'
"So pretty please with sugar on top, clean the fuckin car"

i dont understand the part where that army guy(christopher walken) walks in and gives the boy watching tv a watch and says its his fathers and grandfathers, is that the watch butch had on? it never connected to anything.
The watch is the only thing that made the second half of Butch's story possible. His girlfriend forgetting his watch made him have to go back to the apartment, evade death, which made him run into Marsellus, afterward finding himself at the mercy of a bunch of rednecks, and finally ending with a pardon for his past grievances. The scene with Christopher Walken was necessary to show how important the watch is to Butch, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense for him to go and get into all that trouble.
