I don't think of the Godfather as a gangster movie, so I vote for Goodfellas.

my favourite is Godfather Part 1. Closely followed by Scarface and Goodfellas. Whats great about Goodfellas and Scarface is the one-liners , But the Godfather has a better story line.

Donnie Brasco is my favourite, closely followed by Bronx Tale and Carlito's Way.

I agree with Freddie C, I don't really class godfather as a Gangster movie - it's in a class of it's own.

I think that Goodfellas depicts the Mafia better, but The Godfather and The Godfather Part II are better films.

I pick the GODFATHER FRIST THEN SCARFACE THERE BOTH good movies too me maybe goodfella but it was to much of the N word in it.

"Miller's Crossing" and "Road To Perdition" deserve mention.

"Hoodlum", except for Tim Roth's performance, was terrible IMO

I picked The Godfather followed closly behind Once Upon A Time in America.

My brother and I were watching Once Upon A Time in America, and as the credits rolled he starts yelling "WTF did I just watch!? That didn't make sense!"

The Godfather. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed Once Upon a Time in America, which would have to tie with GFII as my next favorite, followed by Goodfellas.

So far, i am the only one who chose Casino. It was the first "mob" movie i ever saw, and it contains my two greatest fasinations, gambling, and organized crime. Also topping my list are Goodfellas, GF I and II, A Bronx Tale, and not mentioned: Carlitos Way

Bart, Is it wrong to steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family? No. Well suppose you got a large starving family, is it wrong to steal a truckload of bread to feed them? Uh-uh. And what if your family don't like bread, they like cigarettes? I guess thats ok. Now what if instead of giving them away, you sold them at a price that was practically giving them away. Would that be a crime Bart?
