I'm looking to see what movies/books I should check out, that are like Godfather and Scarface.

I've seen GF1-3, Scarface, and Goodfella's. Is there any other movies similar to any of these that I'd probably like?

Also, what are some good books? I haven't read any. Is the Godfather Trilogy as books as good as the movies?

Sorry for all the questions, but thanxs for any answers.

As for books, try "Little Man: Meyer Lansky and the Gangster Life," and "Boss of Bosses."

Well, only the first Godfather is actually a book. But some other good books are Underboss, Wiseguy, and The Last Don was pretty good.

For movies, The Untouchables, Casino, and Donnie Brasco.

If you like "Scarface" I recommend "Carlito's Way". I like it better than Scarface and both Pacino and Sean Penn give excellent performances.

As for other Mafia films, I recommend "Casino" and "Donnie Brasco". I also recommend reading The Godfather, its a great book.

If you like crime movies I suggest "Once Upon a Time in America". It is one of my absolute favorites. It may take a few viewings to understand but it is very good.

One of my favorites that hasnt been mentioned yet is A Bronx Tale.

Ive seen bronx tale several times now, and while its underrated in the real world, I think that its over rated here on the BB. Its really a very mediocre movie. I dont know how you can think that its THAT good.

King of New York and State Of Grace are worth seeing.

If you haven't seen Carlito's Way that should be priority uno though.

a bronx tale is also one of my favorites:
there is humor it's also beautiful.
Maybe you need to see Bonanno: A Godfather's story. It's not a very good movie but you see a lot of mob-bosses..

you guys should pick up some eugene Izzi. he's a great author. read safe harbor, or bad guys. *shrugs just look him up, I reccomend it.

I am writing a book simlar to the godfather, one of crime and that way of life(drugs, murder,women, gambling, etc.). When I grow up I want to be a writer.

AS others have mentioned, I highly recomend Casino. I may get burned for this one( ) but it's a lot better that Goodfellas. IMHO
