Fourth best gangster fim since GF.
I rate Casino, Goodfellas, and Miller's Crossing higher.

I haven't seen the movie? Is it a non-fiction movie, has is really happened? Are there some famous gangsters in the movie?

on the box it says:the greatest gangster film since the GF. that really bothers me. (GODFATHER II!!!) I rate Casino, Goodfellas, and Miller's Crossing higher. all true, and there's a few others. I thought perdition was good, i personally enjoy films about italians better. I thought it was a bit corny, trying too much to have that sort of "epic" feel to it. I don't know, mixed opinions overall. I'd have to see it again and really think about it to form a true opinon.

I don't believe that it is a true story but it does have Frank Nitti and Al Capone in it. (Capone is only in one of the deleted scenes.) This was a very good film, one that I would definaetly rank up there with the Godfather.

I can't rank this anywhere near the Godfather (well maybe PartIII ). Perdition is a good movie to go see at the cinema but GF completely draws you in to the Corleone world. They're not in the same league .

Perdition is decent but not in the same league as Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, Donnie Brasco, etc. I like the story enough, but I don't buy Tom Hanks as a tough guy. He's been in too many sappy, feel-good, protaganist roles.

He didn't seem like a tough guy but I don't think he was trying to act like one(Hanks), he just needed money for his family.
