Way off-topic of course, as everything which needs to be said already has been... But for the record, the best film of the 1980s is Blue Velvet (1986/Lynch). Mick

It's a great set, DSC. They were able to make an incredible transfer, so everything is clear and crisp, especially for a film that's over 20 years old. I've already watched it 3 times since I got it, and I'm not sick of it. The extras are well worth the price of the DVD (the price is a tad more expensive than your average DVD, but its Raging Bull, so it's ok).

This movie, to much of my surprise, has replaced what has been mt favorite movie for like ever-The Godfather. I had watched Raging Bull a while ago, when I was younger and liked it but didn't really get some of it. Then I saw the movie at the store and decided to pick it up. Well, I watched the movie and was astounded. This is the first movie i have ever watched and proclaimed it as perfect. I still can't believe that a movie actually replaced The Godfather...I'm still in shock. P.S. Anyone read the book? If so, how was it?

I don't apologize--that's my life--but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the string. You can probably get it used online for a cheap price. BTW - I HAVE TO get the new release of the DVD. I bought a copy of the regular DVD at Wal-Mart last year and I swear they edited out a few seconds.
