I wanted to find some other films with Richard Castellano (Clemenza) in. And I have been recommended 3.

I was just wondering if anyone has seen any of them? and if so if they have any opinions on them?

Night Of The Juggler?

The Gangster Chronicles?

Honor Thy Father?

You wanna see a good Castellano movie?? Get "Lovers and Other Strangers". He's hilarious in it and its a funny movie. A little trivia - he flew out to California to attend the Academy Awards (he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for that movie) just as "The Godfather" started filming.

If you can get the mini-series "The Gangster Chronicles" GET IT!!. Be wary, though, that there's a 3 tape version of something by that name thats a crappy "true" story of criminals.

I always recommend an outstanding made-for-TV movie, "Honor Thy Father," based on the relationship of Joe Bonanno and his son Salvatore (Bill). Castellano does a great job as Frank Labruzzo, a capo who stays loyal to Joe and Bill during the famous "Bananna War" of the Sixties. Brilliant performances by Brenda Vaccaro as Bill's wife and Joseph Bologna as Bill, with a nice cameo by Marc Angel as Stefano Magaddino. Has anyone else here seen it?

Wasn't the character of Clemenza based on Frank LaBruzzo? If so, he played the role 2 times

'This was just another Bronx tale.'

You could make that comparison, Juventus. Clemenza was like Frank Labruzzo in that he was a capo who remained loyal to the boss while the other capo betrayed him. And he remained a friend, protector and supporter of the boss's son and designated heir during wartime. In the case of the Bonanno family, the capo who betrayed Joe and Bill in the "Bananna War" was Gaspar DiGregorio, whom we can compare with Tessio.
