I figured I'd post this here since it deals with the Godfather, or should this go in the "other" movie thread??

On USA right now the movie MAFIA! is playing. It's a spoof of all 3 Godfather movies (parts of each mixed into one movie) I've seen the first 45 minutes so far, it's pretty funny.

I think it's hilarious, although this has come up before here and almost everyone that has offered an opinion seems to hate the movie.

There are also references to "Casino" and "Scarface" which are pretty funny.

Do you know if it will be released over here?

It's about 6 or 7 years old. So I think if it was going to be released it would have been already

God dammit, why do I have to live in such an unknown country? I mean, people still think we live in teepees...

I own it on DVD.

I got this DVD on eBay for $4 brand new.

The movie is pretty lousy really, although there are a few good scenes. I watched it for about 10 minutes and turned it off.
But it is worth a look.
Lloyd Bridges is great in this sort of spoof.

If you saw "a few good scenes" in ten minutes, why didn't you watch the whole thing?

To tell you the truth, the first time I saw it I thought it was horrible, except for "a few clever scenes." But, that was a while ago, and it's in my NetFlix queue to see again just to be sure it's not cuz I had a bad day that day I watched it.

As I said, its worth a look, you will be disappointed but you will get a few laughs.

I happen to love this movie. There's nothing epic or classic about it, and it shouldn't be compared to films such as Godfather or Goodfellas based on its quality, because it can't compete on terms of quality. But I find it hysterical, and something any mob film fan should see, just to pick up all the spoofs.
