If he was an informant then how come he did so much time and died in prison? Something's not adding up here. He died free of Alzheimer’s...he didn’t do much time and he 100% did not die in prison.

I've always been suspicious of DiFronzo. Then again Accardo didnt do any time in his 60+ year career. Maybe DiFronzo took a page out of his playbook. Took a bust on that Indian Casino deal but it got overturned on appeal. I am highly suspicious why they left him out of the Family Secrets trial. Maybe the case wasn't strong idk. If I had to guess I would say he wasn't an informant. Wtf does Red Wemmette's low level porno ass know. He was a Joey lombardo ATM. Plus he's been dead 2+ years now and I see nothing the Feds got from him. I'm going to file an FOIA request this week. Maybe before this year's out we will know for sure about No Nose/Bananas.
Tony Accardo never had anyone that was credible as an eyewitness to him talking about crimes ie Joe Hauser. Nick Calabrese was very credible and testified John Difronzo was one of the guys beating and punching Tony and Michael Spilotro.... Also why I think the Federal Govt put a lot of misinformation out there to throw people in the mob off the scent of him being an informant by leaking to the media he was the Boss...When in reality Johnny Apes was Acting Boss and then Jimmy Marcello was the Boss and Auippa until he died was the Official Boss all according to Nick Calabrese the first and only Made Member of the outfit to ever officially testify. Also think Difronzo is the informant they reference that was giving up high level secrets to the Govt and was used in the affidavit against Mike Sarno and was the informant at the meeting with Mayor of Rosemont Donald Stephens....

The only person who was alive who wasn’t indicted was Louie Marino... and his top guys Pete Difronzo(who just died) and Joe Andriacchi haven’t been arrested since the 60s. In the 90s and 2000s the government indicted and convicted Sam Carlisi,Jimmy Marcello, Anthony Zizzo, Tony the Hatch, The Calabrese crew,Marco Damico, Phillip and Jimmy Cozzo, Rick Rizzolo and the crazy horse guys, Anthony Giannone, Jimmy Inendino and Maltese,Paul and Mike Spano, Rudy Fratto, Anthony Centriaccio,Nicky Guzzino, Dominick Palermo,Frankie Schweis,Harry Aleman, William Hanhardt,Dominic Cortina, Don Angelini, Gus Alex, John Matassa Jr, the Carusos and Joey Lombardo Jr we’re kicked out of the Laborers and Jimmy Diforti was indicted on murder charges in the late 1990s. And that’s just off the top of my head... I think it’s pretty obvious he was an informant. There was literally only 2 people alive who weren’t indicted for the Spilotro murder even though Nick Calabrese said they were there and Louie Marino was doing 20 years in prison at the time on Racketeering Charges...
Also Albert Vena was indicted for murder in the 1990s and opted for a judge only trial and he was aquitted in 1995. Pretty obvious what happened there...

Kinda wild the Outfit is considered almost defunct. They were the #2 Family outside of NY and had over 200 members with only 1 made guy to ever rat. IMO I bet Accardo told them to go way underground in the early to mid 80s and told them to infiltrate and switch to legit businesses besides gambling for their future.Id bet my left nut they're still 100+ made guys strong today. About a zero % chance the outfit has more than 50 made guys in 2021...likely closer to 30...do I think the outfit is completely defunct? No, but there’s just not the recruitment pool of Italian neighborhoods to make 100 guys...I’d say the outfit still has a lot of non Italian associates in higher positions and probably about 20-40 made guys total, surly some that aren’t really known.

Calling someone a rat without any documentation or proof is about as disgusting of a crime as fondling a child.
And there’s a ton of circumstantial proof that Difronzo was a rat not to mention Jeff Cohen, and Fosco from American News post did articles on the fact he was and he didn’t sue for slander... which I think makes it pretty obvious as well if you know the law...
Remember no could believe Bulger, Lefty Rosenthal etc etc were informants until they were exposed by the courts and the freedom of Information Act...

Wymette does not give any proof of DiFronzo being an informant. he just answers yes and is not asked for proof or sources. I would not take his word for it so quickly. I would assume his sources are the FBI agents he worked w for 30 years The FBI will not reveal a secret informer another informer who is in the open, or to another secret informer. So he is just making it up The fbi also doesn’t use informants who commit violence, oh that’s right never mind.....
