This is so petty and the girls husband is a pussy for calling the cops. The kid lost his cool and said things out of anger, we all do it. Its ridiculous. Held without bail for using words!!!! Are they kidding !!!! Don't you think the real "pussy" here is Gene himself considering that he decided to become an informant because he didn't get his way? Plus the fact he didn't want to do the time because of that? I mean isn't his mantra how he became an informant so he could change his life for the better and "help the kids" not make the same mistakes he did? This entire thing with 99.9% of informants is a scam. They all lie and feed into this whole subculture of glorifying rats. So when the truth comes out and the mask of the rat falls off...it shouldn't be that shocking. ~LisaB ------- Bingo!.... this Borello is a real bottom-feeder. And thats putting it nicely. !01% screwball, and jerk off, AND RAT!! Let's not forget that. No backbone at all.... signed TOG (The Other Guy)

I refuse to watch a second of anything this rat or John Alite is in. They can take their youtube stories and shove it.
Informers are scum. The only one's I forgive are people like Fat Pete who wasn't a rat but was almost assassinated and only flipped once the family wanted him dead for no good reason. I feel the EXACT same way. I watched 1 single episode of these 2 idiots just out of curiosity. I did the same with that other hardon MF from out in Cali. What an embarrassing situation with all three of these rats. Especially that Borello. He is a stone "punk," a guy who would NEVER make it in "real" OC. He was just an unhinged, loose cannon of a kid, who went around robbing people, independent drug dealers, and other punks. He wants everyone to believe that he's a respected Knockaround guy, NOTHING, I say it again. NOTHING, could be further from the truth! He's a mentally-ill glorified "kid".... a screwed up kid. But a punk kid nonetheless.

Whether you're in North America or Europe, guys like Borello are a dime a dozen. Every white working class area with more than 30.000 inhabitants has like 100 of Borello's. I've come across plenty of these types. Honestly, when they're young, to the average civilian, they're "tough" because they do actively hurt people. They rob a guy, they burglarize a home, they sell some childlike quantities of narcotics, they beat up a college kid at the local club or bar... The thing is, these are specific type or guys that are only out for some kind of reputation when they're young, but as they get older, they meet some truly hardcore types and then they get scared themselves because all of the sudden it gets "real".
I once saw a guy like this - I knew him quite well - kicking the shit out of an university student in front of his girlfriend for no apparent reason. Thought he was a badass. Some time later he started to get acquainted with a bigger drug dealer who trafficked in synthetic drugs. Of course the badass thought he was more badass because of this. Until he witnessed the drug dealer locking someone in a dog crate and pistol whipping him because a batch of pills got stolen. First thing this "badass" did was running to the cops to snitch on the drug dealer.
The thing is, these Borello-type of guys seem "tough" when they're young and out for a certain reputation - but in my experience they always prey on the easiest targets and time always shows that they're in fact weak punks that aren't built for the game when the game is really on.

Great post. True from your first sentence to your last. I grew up in a small town, and we had a few of that type even there. Not as bad as Borrello, but close. The only difference is the law was stricter there, and there were no mobsters to rat out in exchange for a deal.

Having a straight job is actually hard, which may sound strange, because most folks thankfully have a straight job.
Even if you earn a decent living, it's still negligible compared to what a lot of criminals make. Add to this the fact that you're on the clock for most of your day. You have to take shit almost daily, either from bosses, co-workers, customers... You're being put under quite a lot of pressure with daily and monthly targets and whatnot. All this for getting paid just enough to make ends meet, do some well-considered pastime activity and save a bit for the future. And at the end of the day - save for the absolute minority that's getting rich and famous with a straight job - you're still a complete nobody, even if you're valued at your job. Nobody knows your name and nobody will remember you when you die.
There's a major lure in getting into (organized) crime. You earn a lot of money, your name commands a certain amount of awe, you have considerable freedom...etc...these are all things a straight job in 95% of the time won't give you...or at least not to that extent. That's why there'll always be people getting into crime.
Keeping your life on the right track is not easy and in many ways it goes against your desires and wants...and it's all the more respectful for it.
