My thought about why they brought Salerno is they stupidly thought that maybe they could bring him into the fold by incrimination..1,they used his gun.& 2,,now he was an accessory...remember Scarfo asking Salerno if he wanted 2 be a gangster??..well..(" now your 1 of us Joe")...also as 1 poster already stated..as a lure 4 Falcone 2 feel @ ease..just my 2 cents..
