I did and it was nothing to write home about. May have to give it another shot but I wasn't overly impressed and didn't see what others apparently did. Honestly, with COVID last year, the pickings were slim this year. However, I was very disappointed Carey Mulligan didn't win for Best Actress. I feel she got robbed and that was her best shot to win the award. Overall, the Oscars were incredibly lame and dull last night.

Yeah, everyone is telling me to see Promising Young Woman. Well, the Oscars are hardly ever fun. I already knew what I was walking into when I watched it, but I do miss the hosts. It is truly insane how PC and virtue signaling Hollywood has become. And I ain't no fucking conservative.

THIS RIGHT HERE! The entire country is this way now. Even THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLIDER ruined it in the last 2 episodes with their victimhood and virtue signaling. Going back to last nights show, I do endorse a viewing of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. I need to revisit it myself.

LA is especially bad. I've lived here since 2018 and I can't even converse with some of my friends anymore. These people are just nuts. I don't mean to derail this thread, but it is as if these people wake up thinking thoughts like 'how can I make people think I love black people more than my own children?' or 'how can I make people think I have more love inside me than most people?'. Facts, logic and reason have zero meaning to these people

Trust me, I know. I see it all the time on TV and social media. It absolutely amazes me the garbage people (adults mind you) will actually subscribe to. My biggest beef is identity politics, which is itself racist on its face. If you watch a movie, TV show, or some other type of production and you come away with "I didn't like it because no one looked like me," that's racist. Imagine if a white person said that about an all black production.

You hit the nail on the head with pretty much everything you said there. If George Floyd had been white, he would've been a footnote! What is happening in the world today with BLM and all these clowns has nothing to do with helping minorities. If they actually gave a shit about black lives, then why don't they do something about black on black violence? Go to Baltimore, Chicago or Compton (which is on fire right now yet again) and see what young black men are doing to each other. You can't even bring that up without being called a racist! Now I don't care if you're black, green or purple as long as you're a decent human being

But yeah they've ruined TV and movies with this bullshit. It's funny, just the other day I was re-watching a '90s movie with Sean Connery called Just Cause. Did you see it? If you have then you know that they would never make this movie today

Because it doesn't sell for the MSM. Race baiting, and white-on-black crime sells. Not black-on-black crime. That's why none of these politicians ever mentions Chicago when talking about crime or gun violence (which mind you, Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws on the books in this country and still one of the highest murder rates). Go figure, right? It's almost as if there's a black market for them 🤔

Well, the problem lies in their culture. They worship murderers, pimps, drug dealers and gangbangers. It's not uncommon for a black man to have 8 baby mamas.

Trying to figure out how and why the media can get away with playing up to the incredible smaller groups while saying F. U. 2 the larger groups who actually pay and give a shit about every day issues that effect everyone.

Because they control the narrative, and they're accountable to no one. That's why I'm glad Nick Sandmann sued and won a $275 million lawsuit against CNN! More people do this, and they'll start to back off because it'll cost them too much money.

In addition, news isn't what it used to be. It's political commentary, not news. They decide which stories to run, what angles to play up, how you should feel about it, etc. Everybody rushes to judgment now. Nobody fact checks anymore, just get the story out there. Prime example recently is LeBron James. I actually like LeBron as a basketball player. I respect him because when he came into the league, he had the highest of expectations and for the most part, he's met and exceeded most (if not all of them). But he's still not better than Jordan IMO. No way. But I'm tired of his victimhood activism and his recently deleted tweet is an example. He didn't have all of the facts, the story was still coming out, he rushed to judgment, tried to paint a target on the police officer involved, and then look what happened. The cop actually saved a young girls life.
