I'm going to back up NYmafia here and I know my two cents doesn't mean shit on these boards. He has great content and will go out of his way to help you. Who cares how many times he is informing us about his latest piece that is coming out. I think his material is a breath of fresh air to this site. I'm grateful to others as well like Giacomo, Furio from Naples, and the Montreal guys Hollander and AntiMafia. It's almost like picking on them to a degree and saying stop posting shit about Canada all the time.

I’m not going to lie, I read and even enjoy some of your articles but the way you toot your own horn about great it is, you need to do better research. For instance you say Mike Casale died relatively young by his late sixties, early seventies. With two minutes of research I was able to find that he died of a heart attack while walking in the park in 1974. It took me two minutes. I would suggest focusing and researching better rather trying to pump out a lot of stuff. Quality vs quantity.

Also you talk about growing up with these guys and even said on black hand that you have personal photos of some of them. You haven’t posted any and none of your articles suggest an insiders point of view like you say you have.

If that’s not true then why say it? For credibility? It’s okay to admit your just a researcher who doesn’t have first hand knowledge of these guys. Most people don’t.

So I would suggest better research and not exxagerating your connections to these guys. Maybe you have the connections, but there’s been no proof and while you don’t have to prove it to me I can question it since you’ve never backed up these claims with evidence. On black hand the more people questioned you, the more defensive you got and the stories got even more embellished. You expected people to just take you at your word and that’s not how it works when you say the stuff you say like knowing and being friends with Joe Beck DiPalermo. And let me state for the record that I do have a few personal photos of guys. And I truly didn't (and still don't know how to post that type of stuff). I use others for that. But they are personal. And my background is extremely extensive with friendships and the like. But I decided from the jump that I wanted to keep who I am private. To myself and for my blood family's privacy and respect. And if I was even considering speaking of my family (which I wasn't), any notions of 'sharing' that went out the window as soon as I started getting attacked and criticized. I don't feel the need to prove myself or where I come from to anyone. Ever.

I will say that on both boards you guys have referenced my elder relatives, father, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, on numerous occasions, both in articles and photos too. But thats not for me to say "That's my dad" or "Thats my cousin"...... its private and at the end of the day all this forum and research baloney is just that. Baloney. It's meaningless in the larger scheme of my life and yours and I don't feel it's important. So why "out" them?

If you or family are in the photo crop them out. People would love to see these pics if you have them. It intrigues me because the time of the mafia I’m really interested in is the 1940s through the 60s which is what you mainly post about. Lastly do you have a subscription to newspapers.com? Wealth of articles about the mafia can be found. I think it would add to your research.
