Beth, that's too bad. I can't believe with all the areas that got thru that you couldn't. Do you live out in the sticks or what??? That is dedication calling in blindly so to speak. Did you hold a long time?

I don't think I was on hold any longer then 10 minutes. The guy on the line asked me my name and what my answer would be. I was tempted to call myself "Crabby". I heard the commercials and then the "popcorn" lady came on. I about died. I didn't think I was going to be any good when it was my time, I was laughing so hard. Then Joel said, "It's Beth from Baltimore" I thought I was a goner.

Bethie - It was pretty funny, cuz he kept telling me who was coming up on the phone lines. While you were waiting, he said he was gonna take Sherri first cuz she had the wrong answer - and he told me what it was before she came on! lol I told Joel that maybe she meant food in the movie theater? Y'know, that foodstuff in the theater that suggests impending doom?

At least spaghetti was reasonable, well....wrong but I guess if you were gonna guess what food was in all GF films, it'd be a fair guess....but popcorn???

You know what? I wonder if she just called to get a freebie?? Sounds silly, but she may have really wanted a Blockbuster rental, who knows? :p

No way! He told me HER answer!

He'd ask the question, then I wrote my answers down just in case no one got it and he asked ME what it was! They were obviously easy, though, for fans...

Tho I said you "cheated" by picking the same "favorite scene" that I mentioned earlier in the show -- But now I know you never even heard me say it, so, you're forgiven!

What can I say, we like the favorite scenes. Great minds think alike. Or maybe it's the fact I drew a blank and that's the first thing I could come up with. Good thing he didn't ask me my favorite scene in GF3. After all, that movie STINKS!!!

I really didn't want to leave for work so shortly after the radio show. I was UP! from that, and had a blast listening to all our members who made it through plus Geoff.

Note to Geoff: Buy a REAL cell phone, bro! :p

I was in the car for most of the two hours, frantically, and to no avail, trying each of the five stations which the website listed for my zip code.

I eagerly await your posting of the recording.

I found the radio station and had it all set. It came in clearly. However, when it was 1:00 (4:00 there) there was another show on. So I frantically tried to get it on-line. I missed the very beginning, but not the phone calls. I still don't know exactly what I did to get it, but it finally worked.

The same thing happened to me. Please forgive me Geoff for not being able to listen to the show. But I promise to listen to it when you post it.

You were "great" Part. What a sexy voice.

I was telling SC and DC, how totally cool it seemed, hearing everyone's voice that we talk to every day here on the BB and feeling like it's old friends and/or family in a sense. Know what I mean? I know in the chatroom and on this thread, you could feel the excitement and pride really, of having our "hero" Geoff on the air and hearing voices of people we speak with everyday. Totally cool!

There won't be a trascript -- too much work! -- but, soon enough I will post the entire audio from the show online, so, even better!

I just thought of a good idea...

Joel's been on the radio forever, but, only recently went national with The Movie Show , so has no archives posted on their site yet.

Perhaps if we all emailed in requesting that that show be archived, it'd make us all famous!

Why don't we all Email Lifestyle TalkRadio Network and request that March 12th's airing of The Movie Show be archived online!

That'd be sweet!

What? We all send emails? No way! You should let them know that they either archive it or be prepared for horse's heads on their beds!

But seriously, whom to email? CEO ?

JG - Do you know whats today's movie in the movieshow?
The schedule only says its the movieshow but no details about the movie for tonight.

Also, do you know if any other mob or gangster movies had their own movieshows?

And since Joel has mentioned the Scarface website in the Godfather show....I think you should talk him into a Scarface movieshow, that would be a blast.
Of course,if the radio has to be censored, you can always talk about Pineapples

P.S- I can already see Sherry calling in:

Joel : and our question today, how did Tony Montana got his scar?

Sherry : EATING POPCORN!!

Today's guest is Peter Biskind (author of the error-prone The Godfather Companion trivia book), who's most likely going to talk about his latest movie book today...

I'm glad it's on the web now, since I was never really able to hear it from here on AM radio before...

Thanx,will you be listening then?
Is it possible to know whos the next guest on the show or do they only say that on the radio?
If you have a link to a better schedule of the movieshow than the one on the actual website please let me know.

At this point I don't know of any scheduled guests ahead of time. I only know about today because he told me. Since I haven't been able to listen to the show until now, I really don't know his format -- especially since the show is new. I don't think he had too many guests before, so it may just be a rare thing. I don't know, for now we'll have to listen each week and see!

They're talking about Midnight Cowboy -- apparently Biskind wrote an article in the March issue of Vanity Fair about it...

Peter Biskind??? He's small potatoes.... he'll only be on air for ONE hour! I'm tempted to call in and tell him how many errors he made in "The Godfather Companion".

The excitement of last week is sure missing on this show.
