The measures were issued by the Gip of Caltanissetta, at the request of the DDA. The suspects must answer, for various reasons, for mafia association, murder, extortion, drug trafficking and possession of weapons, crimes aggravated by the mafia method.

As part of the investigations, the investigators also shed light on two murders with the 'white shotgun' method that took place in 1984 and 1991.

"In the course of the investigations, which were also carried out through environmental interceptions, new elements emerged on two murders of the mafia using the" white shotgun "method, those of Benedetto Bonaffini and Luigi La Bella. We have reconstructed both the motive and the details of the crimes, which took place in the context of the mafia war between the Cosa Nostra and Stidda ". The prosecutor Davide Spina said this during the press conference on today's operation.
