Columbus was a man of his time. Conquest was what countries/ explorers did back then. Also, stronger natiive american tribes conquered and enslaved weaker tribes. Should we cancel indigineous people day ? Had the Europeans not come to America, would America as it was prior to discovery be what it is today because of the native Americans ? No way !

Lincoln gave him the choice of being the commander of the US Military he declined due to at that time people felt more a part of their home state than they did the "new" US, so now today all over America, Lee statues and places named after him are taken down and the woke crowd has no clue about the man or his part of US history before 1860
