Well, I can't speak for taste because I've never tried these two, but they get my vote for Best (Names) in Show:

And one from across the pond:

Is it just me, or does the pooch look more than a wee-wee bit like Scooby Doo? eek

Oh, and one more Honorable Mention:

Now for the Burning Question: Anyone ever tried these? confused

Never heard of them but Horse Piss was my favorite name. At least they're embracing it.

If you ever go to Europe, visit Oktoberfest in Munich.

I went in 2019 and it was the trip of a lifetime. I wanted to go back again last year but that obviously didn't happen. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen again this year. If it happens next year I'd love to go again!

You've got that right Hollander! Beautiful women, a lot of people in that part of the country speak English so I was able to get around just fine. But I heard the further away you get from Munich (to say Berlin for example), they don't speak as much English. Can you confirm or deny this?

In Germany everyone learns English at school, just like in the Netherlands from about 10 years old. I think in the big cities which have become more cosmopolitan most young / middle aged people speak english, but in the countryside and rural towns they only speak German. I learned German at school and used to watch german tv when I grew up, but when i'm there I'm more comfortable speaking english with them or my own mix of both lol.

Europeans are very good at learning and speaking multiple languages, probably because the nations are so close together and so closely tied economically. Here in the big, wide USA, a lot of Americans know a bit of Spanish because there are so many Hispanics here, but few are proficient in multiple languages.

Hollander, is Latin still widely taught in European primary schools?

You're right. Latin and Greek are still teached at high schools. French and Spanish are also common.

@Irishman12 are you familiar with Bavaria? I drink it today typical dutch beer, but not bad IMO. The brewer Swinkels is the second largest brewery company in the Netherlands after Heineken and one of the largest producers of malt in Europe.

Not too familiar with Bavaria. Just when I went there for Oktoberfest (spent 8 days there total).

I wouldn't say all American beer sucks, just Bud. I do like MGD but my favorite is Samuel Adams.

Brand Pilsener today, one of the oldest breweries in the Netherlands (Southern Limburg).

On April 19, 1989, it is announced that Heineken has taken over the brewery from the Brand family.
A few years after the takeover, Heineken adapts the recipe for Brand Pilsener to the prevailing taste and also switches to pasteurization. As a result, the characteristic taste was largely lost.

From 1981 to 1991 Brand exported its beer in the distinctive white bottle to the United States . A worldwide sale under the Heineken umbrella is not yet on the agenda; Brand beer has been available on tap in Italy (mainly Northern Italy) since 2002.

Nice, curious what you got DP.

I've been stocking up on the Sam Adams Holiday White Ale. Introduced a buddy to it yesterday and he loved it (almost drank one of my 6 packs he liked it so much).
