The trait d'union is Salvatore Drago Ferrante, a well-known drug trafficker who over the years has imported tons of drugs from South America to Sicily, and the family of the "doctor".

From the interceptions it emerges how the Guttadauro wanted to influence the delicate mafia dynamics concerning the structure of the Bagheria family for which they wanted Drago Ferrante at the head, a maneuver also witnessed by the declarations of some collaborators of justice: Pasquale Di Salvo, Andrea Militello and Sergio Macaluso. A proposal, however, rejected by the drug trafficker who instead wanted to continue to focus on international drug trafficking.
