Giuseppe Auteri has been lost for a year. The Porta Nuova boss left home between 14 and 16 September last year. He became a fugitive from July 6, that is, from the night the carabinieri went to knock on the door of his home and in another 17 during the blitz called "Vento".

For months, however, no one had known anything about him. Not even his relatives and friends who, at least apparently, seem to know nothing. Gone into thin air.

His role, as the magistrates of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate and the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command have reconstructed, had grown a lot in conjunction with the release of Tommaso Lo Presti, nicknamed the long . Auteri would have kept the cash of the district together with another prominent person in Porta Nuova. The first is a fugitive, the second was murdered on June 30 at the Zisa.

"If he had run away with the cash of the district someone would have looked for him to get the money back," whispers an investigator. Why did he run away? He feared, how did it happen, that the investigators were reconstructing his new mafia role, or is there more? The hunt continues.
