'Ndrangheta in Emilia, confiscation of 11 million from Antonio Muto of the Grande Aracri The Carabinieri of Reggio Emilia have implemented an order for the confiscation of assets 'in executivis' issued by the Court of Appeal of Bologna for a value of over 11 million euros , against Antonio Muto. The measure follows the irrevocability of Muto's sentence in the 'Aemilia' trial to 8 years and 6 months' imprisonment, among others, for mafia association because he belongs to the 'Ndrangheta gang 'Grande Aracri' of Cutro ( Crotone) which operated in the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia and Modena. The provision, carried out in Reggio Emilia, Parma, Mantua and Crotone, led to the seizure, among other things, of 5 companies in the road haulage and real estate sector, for a turnover for 2017 of around 3.5 million euros, 23 real estate, 92 vehicles and 9 bank accounts.

Very interesting because the Piromalli has been the subject in recent days in court and the news. They also arrested a priest. Perhaps the most powerful 'Ndrangheta family of all time ! The family has its progenitors in the brothers Girolamo Piromalli, born in 1918 and, precisely, Giuseppe Piromalli born in 1921 . Girolamo dies in 1979. Giuseppe, on the other hand, will live for a long time and will see the new millennium. His nephews grew up under his wing, namely the brothers Gioacchino, born in 1934, Antonio, born in 1939, and Giuseppe, born in 1945 . But it must have been his great-grandchildren, therefore Gioacchino's sons, Antonio and Giuseppe, i.e. Antonino known as Ninello, born in 1965, Gioacchino the lawyer born in 1965, and Antonio born in 1972 , who carried the family into the new millennium.

Bonavota is now among the top fugitives.
Pasquale Bonavota, leading member of the ‘Ndrangheta The last of the four most wanted Italian mafiosi is 49-year-old Pasquale Bonavota, who was born in Sant’Onofrio, in the province of Vibo Valentia. He belongs to the ‘Ndrangheta, more precisely the Bonavota clan, which has always been at war with the Petrolo Bartolotta family from the city of Stefanaconi.
The place was called Corleone Calabria by the press in the 90s.
On January 6, 1991, a group of the Petrolo-Bartolotta family shot around with pistols and Kalashnikovs in the Piazza of Sant’Onofrio, killing two people and injuring eleven. This act of violence is remembered in Italy as the Epiphany massacre.
Pasquale Bonavota grew up in a family determined to avenge this attack on their own territory. He quickly became the head of his family and was described by Marisa Manzini, Catanzaro’s assistant prosecutor, as “a person who combines two criminal faces: on the one hand, that of an old-fashioned ‘ndranghetista’ who grew up in a clan that ruled the has made the dynamic of violence the leitmotif of his life and, on the other hand, that of the offspring who wants to expand his presence beyond the territorial limits of his community”.
Bonavota invested enormous capital in Rome to buy companies that over time, according to the investigating prosecutor, developed into “real centers of drug trafficking”. Bonavota has been wanted since 2018 for membership in a criminal organization and complicity in aggravated murder.

Says he was discovered in Canada in 2020 but not arrested until 2023. Funny how one of the things he's accused of is a bank robbery. Strange that the Ndrangheta supposedly makes billions in drug money yet guys are engaging in such high-risk crimes like bank robbery? Canada was in the process of having him extradited and he finally was.

It took them three years? So for the past 3 years he was sitting in some Canadian jail? Extraditions can take a long time and I bet covid played a role in this taking 3 years. I don't know if he was in custody the entire time but I would take a guess and say he was because of the crimes he's charged with and the fact he was a fugitive. It looks like some of his hearings were under a publication ban as his name is redacted in some of the stuff I was able to find and that would explain why we are just hearing about him now since he was finally extradited.

I know Hollander, what I'm wondering is if the clan that he's part of has ties to or a presence in Canada. The Bonavotas have a locale in Canada since 2012.

The 'Ndrangheta boss who arranged marriages from prison ANTONIO ANASTASI | MARCH 20, 2023 10:24 | PETILIA POLICASTRO (CROTONE) – This wedding is busy. "Authentic 'Ndrangheta teachings" are those which, according to the reconstruction of the investigators, leaked from the interview in prison that Nicola Comberiati, arrested for mafia, extortion and usury in recent days, had with his father Vincenzo, undisputed leader of the clan of the same name in Petilia Policastro, when he went to visit him. Nicola Comberiati talks about it in the car with Giuseppe Trapasso, nephew of Giovanni, head of the homonymous 'Ndrangheta family of San Leonardo di Cutro, and cohabitant with Federica, sister of Nicola and daughter of Vincenzo. Comberiati reported to Trapasso, unable to access the visit to the penitentiary due to the lack of a certificate of cohabitation, that his father would have wanted him to participate in the interview, because he wanted to get to know him, and that he would send a letter to his daughter explaining that she should continue the relationship. "By now Federica has made the move... I was happy they finished the house, I'm writing to you because I don't want to make a bad impression". And at the next interview she would have demanded that the couple present themselves before her.

In the criminal organizations of the province of Cosenza it is rare that power is handed down from father to son or alternatively between blood relatives. In fact, local clans are not structured on a family basis and, not surprisingly, almost all the children of bosses and affiliates, current or past, have not undertaken the same "career" as their parents. An exception to the rule is the clan of nomads in its two forms: that of the capital city and that of the Sibaritide. Among the gypsies of Cosenza, in fact, the rise of the brothers Luigi and Marco Abbruzzese has been recorded in recent years, sons of Fioravante Abbruzzese, or one of the old leaders of the criminal consortium known by the nickname of "Banana". In the investigation by the Dda of Catanzaro, Sistema Cosenza, Luigi and Marco Abbruzzese alias "Banana" would be at the top of a criminal association dedicated to drug trafficking in the urban area of ??Cosenza and in the province . ![[Linked Image]](https://img.lacstatic.it/_pageimg/2023/03/21/2023_luigi-marco-abbruzzese-mammasantissima.jpg)

A boss by lineage, by family descent, who has a very heavy name that inspires fear throughout the Piana di Gioia Tauro: Teodoro "Teodorino" Crea is only 22 years old but already has a respectable pedigree. He is the grandson and bears the same name as the much more famous Teodoro Crea, known as "the bull", a boss who moves in a wheelchair and who was arrested in 2006 in a farmhouse in Castellace. The arrest of Teodoro Crea, the grandfather, was followed by a series of attacks and bloody events. The grandson will instead be arrested together with another young lever of the Calabrian underworld, the young Rocco Molè, in the Nuova Narcos Europea investigation.

Two brothers with a very high criminal caliber, grandsons of the boss "Ass'i mazzi" who gave life to the Sacra Corona Unita by conferring the Saint on its founder, have held the reins of the famous Rosarno family for some time now. Umberto Bellocco, known as "Chiacchiera", bears the name of his grandfather and is a boss feared and respected even during his detention in prison , in Lanciano, where according to the investigators he woven transversal alliances with criminal organizations throughout Italy. Together with him his brother Domenico Bellocco, known as "Micu 'u longu" , together with whom he would have woven plots throughout Italy, among which a close collaboration with the Spada clan of Ostia for cocaine trafficking would stand out. ![[Linked Image]](https://img.lacstatic.it/_pageimg/2023/03/21/2023_domenico-umberto-bellocco-mammasantissima.jpg)
