Good point the Outfit at one point just gave up and sold their trucks and accounts to Dick Evenhouse, a member of the Association.
Thats true but I think that the Outfit didnt gave up completely from the garbage business but instead (as you already said) they gave up from taking over spots and areas which belonged to the Dutch associations and companies. The Outfit simply transferred to other areas like Chinatown and the South Side (which is one of the largest areas).
