"After the capture of Matteo Messina Denaro, Cosa Nostra restarts from the 'Ndrangheta, and from relations with the Calabrian clans, in better financial health". This was stated by the Palermo prosecutor Maurizio De Lucia in a hearing before the parliamentary anti-mafia commission.

"We have very recent investigations – added De Lucia – which prove how the Sicilian mafia agrees on the importation of drugs with the 'ndrine".

"Other indications of this renewed link are in the contacts between encrypted users between the province of Palermo and the Locride area", concluded the prosecutor.
