This song is not very good. Out of all the songs they could've chosen for this show they go with this rubbish. Plus the band that wrote this song is just horrible.

Anyone care to explain?

According to Chase,he intended to use different theme songs for the opening sequence, but when he heard "Woke up this morning" on his car radio,he changed his mind and went with it for every episode.

I disagree the song helped the show a lot I think. But you can argue about taste for ever.

While British-based band Alabama 3 didn't write "Woke Up This Morning" expressly for the series, it did take inspiration from the kind of violence depicted on the show: The song was based on a real-life murder.

You're all I need by Motley Crue would have been better.
