A connected friend of mine now deceased introduced me to Bobby back in 2012 at Richards. I love that little place and prefer to go there in the afternoon as its nice and quiet.

I drank with him up there one day and had a great time. I really had no idea who he was. I figured he owned the place, but I didn't really know the backstory at the time.

I went home that night with about 10 free drink coupons he had given me, which I still have (I always forget to bring them back in).

Bobby is a great host when he is there. A true professional in customer service.

I had also mentioned I worked for (at that time) a pretty prominent Illinois politician, which definitely piqued his interest. Luckily for me, I didn't have my business cards on me and he seemed to have forgotten about it after the 10th or so round.
