To answer your question, I wouldn't be scared of any mobsters in today's age, until they can show that they once again have what it takes to kill, like actually MURDER, again and NOT FLIP afterwards. LCN is a joke. Just look at Joe Lanni, a captain for crying out loud, in the Gambino Family, we're talking about one of the preeminent Mafia families in America! If the Gambinos have sunk this low, just imagine some of the other remaining Families. Anyway, guy gets caught on camera buying gasoline at a gas station, AFTER he just threatened to burn someone's restaurant down! Stupid shit like this doesn't strike fear. What strikes fear is the victims being found somewhere a month or two later, or better yet not seen or heard from ever again. Word gets around town about what happened, but no one can prove anything. Then the next time Lanni's in this situation, business owners think TWICE before kicking him out and he can behave however the fuck he wants. But those days are over, it's all weak now.

For people who don't know any better, it's hard to imagine the fear and terror these guys once had. In other words,if it came down to a fight,and I was able to beat him up,I wouldn't lose sleep worrying about the Gambinos going to avenge him for some stupid fight that he went out of his way to start.
