Denaro was almost a legend in Sicilian mafia, he would influence and give orders to other bosses, few years ago when mafia wanted to kill Nino Di Matteo , Matteo Messina Denaro said that same people who wanted Falcone and Borsellino dead ordered it and that it has to be done, they were about to do it, so that shows how much Denaro was powerful.

i bet the "same people" were especially Berlusconi and Dell'Utri, but i could be wrong
