Favorite role is Hickey in Last Man Standing. He's played in so many.
"I have this Nightmare. I'm on 5th avenue watching the St. Patrick's Day parade and I have a coronary and nine thousand cops march happily over my body." Chief Sidney Green
Absolute legend. Man deserved that Oscar for The Deer Hunter and then some.
One of his great more "recent" (already twelve years ago but ok) roles is in Seven Psychopaths;
"Kid...I don't know who you are or why you're here, and I don't know if you do know where this shih tzu is or if you don't know where this shih tzu is, but either way...have some pride in yourself. Have some faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord, and don't tell these scum-sucking motherfuckers nothing."
fInteresting how Walken started out as a kind of wimpy, flower-child tech nerd in "The Anderson Tapes" and matured into a very effective tough guy. My faves are "The Funeral" and "True Romance."

His performance in King of New York stands as my all-time favorite. Watching that movie is an unparalleled cinematic experience. When you get Abel Ferrara at the right time, and mix gritty storytelling with powerful character portrayals and hip-hop beats, you get a special kind of magic
But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away
