The Israeli Army (IDF) reports that at least eight rockets have been fired from Rafah. They were said to have been fired a few hundred meters from Israeli soldiers in that city.

Several rockets have been intercepted, IDF reports. According to The Jerusalem Post, explosions were heard in the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva, Herzliya and Ramat Hasharon.

As far as we know, no deaths have occurred. However, two women were slightly injured while running to a bomb shelter, writes The Times of Israel . According to the news site, several people are being treated for panic attacks.

Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, has claimed responsibility for the rocket attack on Tel Aviv. The organization calls the attack a response to Israeli "atrocities against civilians."
