The arrests and seizure by the Carabinieri carried out as part of the anti-Camorra blitz are the result of an investigation launched in December 2021 which made it possible to design the top-down structure of the Contini clan, which was entrusted with the management and strategic and economic choices of the criminal organization.
Already in 2019, the Contini clan ended up at the center of a maxi operation that involved the entire Secondigliano Alliance , including the Licciardi and Mallardo families, during which 126 measures were notified by the Carabinieri, the police, the financial police and Dia. precautionary measures (89 in prison and 36 under house arrest and a residence ban in Campania) together with a seizure of assets throughout Italy worth 130 million euros.
