I believe that's correct, Hollander. The Lower Manhattan chapter later relocated up to the Bronx. I'm not certain, but I believe it may have been because they lost their lease and had to move.
Although, I had also heard that they had owned the building too. So who knows.
They owned it but ownership turned into a legal deal after Sandy Alexander died. His family said he owned it, the club said the club owned it. It went to court. Can't remember if full result was ever published. Maybe an agreement was reached to split some of the money?
