Police in Germany ended a hostage situation last Saturday, in which Dutch drug criminals were allegedly involved. The criminals had previously set off an explosion in Cologne. Four hostage-takers were arrested.

Row
It would be a quarrel between members of the Dutch Mocro-mafia, writes Focus online , and another criminal group from Nordrhein-Westfalen. At stake was 300 kilos of cannabis, writes the German magazine, which the Dutch wanted back, worth 1.3 million euros.

Kidnapped
The criminals are said to have first set off explosives in the Keupstrasse in Cologne and in the town of Engelskirchen to reinforce their message. Later, a man and a woman were kidnapped in Bochum and transported to Cologne.

On Saturday evening, a special commando of the German police managed to free the two. They said they had been abused by their captors. Later, a video surfaced via Bild Zeitung, showing a naked man and a half-naked woman being tortured. Four hostage-takers were arrested.

Clan
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the hostages are members of the Kurdish-Lebanese El Zein clan. German authorities fear that the Dutch 'Mocro Mafia' has expanded its area of ??operation to Germany.
