Interesting

Wasn't the Los Angeles Family some sort of offshoot of the Cleveland Family ?

The Milanos, Jimmy Fratianno and i believe Mike Rizzitiello were all operating in Cleveland initially.

They weren't an offshoot, just like the other West Coast families the majority of their members and associates were not originally from California

Tony Milano's family moved to Los Angeles in the 1940s because of his wife's failing health while Fratianno went at the recommendation of Thomas Licavoli (or at least claims so)

Rizzitello was originally from Montreal and bounced around between the Colombos (Gallo brothers) and the Los Angeles family (Dago Louie Piscopo) before eventually getting busted on robbery/kidnapping charges and doing like a decade in the California state system. After that point he was with the local family for the rest of his life
