Irish you know this song to me it is one of the classics that defined the 60s. In the Netherlands, the record reached number three in October 1967. The song is based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
"The king is dead, long live the king!"

My mother's favorite song, recorded in a single take on May 18, 1964, stands out for its unusual length of over four minutes, which was not typical for singles back then
But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

And my personal favorite. Another anthem for the counterculture movement of the 1960s. Inspired by Michelle Phillips’ homesickness for California during a cold New York winter. Recorded in C-sharp minor

GNR aside, the greatest American rock group of all time. Green River will always hold a special place in my heart. Based on Fogerty's memories of Putah Creek by Winters, CA
