In Colombia, the escape of the Camorra member Belvedere was foiled. The boss was transferred from the prison of Medellin to that of Bogota
He had been arrested on October 25, his movement following the discovery of a plan organized with the help of a local clan: he was supposed to pretend to be ill and be picked up during transport to the hospital.
Camorra boss Luigi Belvedere, arrested in Colombia on October 25, was transferred today from Medellin prison to Bogota after police discovered an escape plan organized with the help of a local clan.
This was reported by the Chief of Police, General William Salamanca, assuring that, according to intelligence sources, Belvedere had offered a sum of 750 thousand dollars to members of the Golfo clan, one of the main drug cartels operating in the country. The escape plan, Salamanca said, involved Belvedere pretending to be ill in order to be taken to the hospital and picked up on the way by a commando of the Golfo clan.
The boss - whose arrest followed by a few days that of another prominent Camorra figure, Gustavo Nocella, also in Medellin - was then transferred by plane to the prison in Bogota, where he will remain until the extradition requested by the anti-mafia prosecutor's office in Naples.
Belvedere was definitively sentenced to 18 years for international drug trafficking and is considered one of the intermediaries, together with Nocella, between the Colombian cartels and the Casalesi clan.

“We have an infinite archive on the Camorra”, the dossiers of the former inspector Internapoli Editorial Team
The investigation into the secret dossiers has revealed a wealth of data that includes “the map of Calabrian families” in Germany , created by Carmine Gallo during the investigations into the Duisburg feud in 2007. The former inspector collected this data during years of field operations, coming to possess details on several clans , “ We have an infinite archive, this is the Sacra corona and also the Camorra .” They talk about the bosses Totò Riina and Bernardo Provenzano, they mention Matteo Messina Denaro and Pablo Escobar.
The Gallo method and the dossiers Gallo's method for collecting documents during his investigative career, Quotidiano.net reports, had a scientific and meticulous strategy. His operations in Calabria, described, reveal an unscrupulous approach: by exploiting the distraction of municipal employees, he managed to gain access to confidential information without any supervision. "Go get a coffee, see you in half an hour," he would tell them, before closing the doors and proceeding to photograph and photocopy crucial documents.
Thousands of dossiers This method not only highlighted his ability to manipulate situations in his favor, but also his awareness of the inestimable value of classified information. The thousands of files and dossiers collected, seized by the Carabinieri as part of the investigation into the cyber-spies of Equalize, are configured as a true crime novel, revealing an intricate plot of power, corruption and secrets that span centuries of Italian history.
Gallo had long understood that, in a world where data is a precious commodity, the management and accumulation of information can confer significant control over events and people, transforming documents into tools of blackmail and manipulation.

Camorra: Pasquale Aliberti, Mayor of Scafati, acquitted AMDuemila November 14, 2024 The mayor of Scafati (Salerno), Pasquale Aliberti, was acquitted because "the fact does not exist". The pronouncement of the acquittal with full formula was made by the Court of Nocera Inferiore (president Cinzia Apicella, in the college Federico Noschese and Giuseppe Palumbo) and arrived in the late afternoon today. The prosecution had requested a sentence of 6 years and 8 months for Aliberti. The other defendants were also acquitted, including the wife of the mayor, Monica Paolino, former regional councilor. The trial was born following an investigation by the Salerno DDA that hypothesized an alleged political-mafia electoral exchange for the 2013 municipal elections in Scafati and for the 2015 regional elections. "Justice was done by an extremely intelligent and humane Court, which understood the substance of the facts and the story", commented Aliberti's lawyer, Silverio Sica, to the AGI news agency, underlining that it was "a trial of great suffering that has upset so many lives. We hope we can put an end to it". https://www.antimafiaduemila.com/ho...o-pasquale-aliberti-sindaco-scafati.html

Arrest in the Netherlands after Italian investigation into VAT fraud: link with Naples mafia author avatar Marcel Vink
Modified: 51 min ago52 min agoin Domestic
MILAN - A Dutch citizen has been arrested at the request of Italian justice after an extensive investigation in the southern European country into large-scale VAT fraud. A link is being made to the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia.
This is reported by media in the country. The detainee - probably a Dutch citizen, although this has not been confirmed - was arrested after a European arrest warrant was issued. The suspect is said to be part of a network that had set up a system to evade taxes. This concerns VAT on the trade in computer products and the laundering of the profits that were made with it.
'Moby Dick' The arrest was made at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Milan, Palermo and the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) during a major multi-country operation dubbed 'Moby Dick', which also saw the seizure of assets and cash worth over €520 million from companies involved, the police explained in a statement.
In addition to those arrested, 200 people are under investigation and the involvement of 400 companies is being investigated. Assets were also seized for money laundering on several residential and real estate complexes worth more than 10 million euros in Cefalú (Palermo, on the island of Sicily). In addition, false invoices worth 1.3 billion euros were discovered, covering the period 2020-2023. The fraud was committed through fictitious economic entities and ghost companies.
Mafia The suspects, mostly from Italy, are also suspected of investing their profits from the tax fraud with the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia. More than 160 searches have been carried out in numerous provinces of Italy, at homes, offices and businesses attributed to the suspects, law enforcement officials said.

Arrests Made in Connection with Camorra Clan in Giugliano in Campania Operazione anti camorra a Giugliano Wednesday 20 November 2024, 15:08 - Last updated : 15:51
This morning, the Carabinieri of the Giugliano in Campania Company executed a pre-trial detention order issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Naples Court, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against four individuals strongly suspected of the crime of participating in a Camorra-type criminal association known as the Mallardo clan, operating in the territory of Giugliano in Campania. In particular, one of the suspects is believed to have had the role of a contact person for the criminal organization, with directive and decision-making powers regarding the strategies to be adopted. Another suspect is alleged to have acted as a trusted person for one of the clan's leaders, tasked with organizing meetings and gatherings; the other two with executive roles in carrying out illicit activities.

Among those arrested is Biagio Micillo, 68 years old, already detained, considered the clan's contact with responsibility for strategic direction. Domenico Chiariello , known as "Mimmuccio", 41 years old, nephew of Micillo, was also arrested. Giulio Maisto and Antonio Miraglia are also in jail. Then there are another 14 suspects at large for whom the precautionary measure was rejected due to lack of serious evidence of guilt or expiry of the terms The investigation covers the period from 2020 to October 2022 and concerns the extortions carried out by the gang on construction sites in the area. The investigation is the one that has already led to the arrest of Michele di Nardo and Angelo Pirozzi. Th boss Micillo was also arrested 11 years ago. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x114lto
