The leader of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in Tulkarem has been killed following an Israeli drone strike on the vehicle he was travelling in, the Palestinian group has confirmed.

Haitham Balidi is among five people killed in the attack near the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
The other four occupants of the vehicle have yet to be identified.

The Israeli military has said the car contained a “terrorist squad”.
